Privacy Policy

King of Madurai is operated by Digitalgrub. This policy explains how the King of Madurai mobile app and its supporting service handle information.

Information you provide

The current app does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, contacts, photos, or precise location. If you contact support by email, we use the information in your message only to respond and resolve the request.

Saved items and preferences

Saved selections and display preferences are handled locally by the app and are not used to build an advertising profile. Notification choices are the one exception, described in the next section. King of Madurai does not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location.

Push notifications

Notifications are off until you turn them on in the app's Account screen. If you do, the app sends our service a push token issued by Apple or Google for your device, the platform it runs on, and your chosen app language, together with the news sections and keywords you ask to be notified about. We keep a record of which stories were sent to your device so that no story is pushed twice. None of this is linked to your name or to any account, and it is used only to decide which notifications to send. Turning notifications off in the app or uninstalling it stops further sends, and tokens that stop working are retired automatically.

App purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Digitalgrub does not receive or store your full payment-card information. Apple may provide transaction and sales information under its own privacy terms.

Technical service data

When the app requests content, our hosting systems may process standard technical data such as IP address, request time, requested endpoint, device user agent, and error details. We use this information for security, abuse prevention, reliability, and troubleshooting. We do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Advertising and analytics

The current version does not contain third-party advertising, behavioral advertising, or a third-party analytics SDK. We do not track you across apps or websites.

Content sources and external links

The app may display factual summaries and links from government portals, public APIs, local sources, and reviewed community sources. Opening an external link takes you to a third-party service governed by that service's privacy policy.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Technical data may be processed by infrastructure providers that help us host and secure the service, or disclosed when required by law. Routine server logs are normally rotated within 14 days unless a longer period is needed to investigate security, abuse, reliability, or a legal obligation.

Children

King of Madurai is a general-audience city information app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can turn notifications off at any time from the Account screen or from your device settings, and you can stop all app network activity by uninstalling the app. You may contact us to ask a privacy question or request correction or deletion of information you previously sent to support.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date above identifies the latest published version.
